Valentina de Totto

Valentina de Totto is a French-Italian singer, songwriter, choir director and vocal coach. Her artistic journey is deeply rooted in Black American urban music, with a particular focus on R&B, neo-soul and modern jazz.

As a vocal coach she teaches private lessons (one-to-one and in duos) as well as vocal ensembles and choirs. Her main goal in lessons is to follow each student in their development and build a singing plan tailored to their personal goals. She focuses on the joy of exploring what our voices can do, and helps students find pleasure in discovering new techniques through free exploration: a learning process free of negative judgement.

She teaches in English, Italian, French and Dutch.

A passionate music lover, she has devoted her life to studying different genres and instruments. After graduating from the music high school in Castelfranco Veneto (Italy), she enrolled at the Padua Conservatory with baroque recorder as her main subject, while developing her singing further at the Art Voice Academy.

Her dedication to music earned her a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA), majoring in voice. After the Covid period she returned to Europe and completed her studies in the Netherlands, earning her Master of Music at the Maastricht Conservatory.

Alongside her academic work she pursues her own projects: in 2022 she released her debut EP Catharsis, and she is currently working with keyboardist and producer Marco Zago on her original music project Nū-Alma.
